Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter of Josephine Ormond, a lab technician as well as John Ormond. She is the third of five children born to her parents. The first time she performed in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted the attention of many. She later attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After a single year of art school , she was moved to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 1988. Ormond was first shown on British television in 1989's serial Traffik. The show focused on the illicit heroin trade, from the far East to Europe. Ormond played the heroin addicted daughter of the main character who was a Home Office minister who was engaged in the fight against heroin importation. It was the first time Ormond had a role and received rave reviews.
