Niykee keeps writing music despite having been swept up in the current crisis. Niykee was selected to be part of this year's YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and the rapper was with her on stage. A producer magnet Niykee constantly sifts through the numerous beats being sent to her. She has found that the majority beats spark fresh songs. It's only after five minutes when I'm able to determine whether a beat is worthwhile. After that I am able to see the concept of a whole song in my brain and I begin to compose. I sit on my backyard with my guitar and the words are just a matter of time and typically it's completed in less than 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her talents as a writer and lyrics writer. She explains how the trauma she endured in the past can be a sources of inspiration. When I'm not writing directly about events that have happened to me all the hurt of growing up and losing my sister ends being incorporated into my music she says. The pain of losing my sister and my childhood influence the music I write. It is important for me to find a deeper purpose to what I undertake.
