Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released over 20 albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk-rock as well as alternative rock, but it has additional influence from hip music and jazz. Ani DiFranco was among the first artist to launch her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had met while attending in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother came born in Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and performed the track 32 Flavors. The track is part of her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio release. A variation of the song is featured on the movie soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologised in 2013 when it was reported that she planned to host a three day workshop at a Louisiana slave plantation. The majority of us (including us) were not moved by her cancellation. DiFranco apologized for her mistake a couple of days later. Although she's known by the name of Little Peoplesinger, she's worked with many musicians and artists, from Pete Seeger through Chuck D up to Prince. The place she lives is New Orleans. Ani was born Kristen Ford. At 14, she began to compose her own music. She performed them at coffeehouses, bars, and in the streets through her teenage years. DiFranco was a graduate at the age of 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts High School began taking classes in Buffalo State College. The new baritone she got was created by custom Alvarez guitar, designed by Chrys Johnston, who at the time worked as an Alvarez artist rep. It comes with the System 600 preamp and has all solid woods--a cedar top mahogany back and sides, and an Ebony fretboard. The home she lives in is New Orleans. There she lives with her husband, two children and her long-legged sidekick Lefty. Three decades deep into her career DiFranco admits she has diverse feelings about seeing in the rearview mirror. Punk/folk singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco attained musical heroine recognition at age 25 in the eyes of both her fans and critics with her seventh release Not A Pretty Girl in 1995, and later had a bigger popularity in the year 1996 with Dilate in 1996. This is the single from 1972 by American pop group Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie, the lead guitarist for Looking Glass and co-vocalist wrote the song. Its conclusion clarifies Do Ani and Luke wed?
