Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released over 20 albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk-rock as well as alternative rock, but it has additional influence from hip music and jazz. Ani DiFranco was among the first artist to launch her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had met while attending in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother came born in Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and performed the track 32 Flavors.
